Well known for her high standards in quality dance
training, her passion is to teach and create. With 40 years of teaching
experience, she treasures watching her students grow within, and
beyond, the art of dance. Janet is thrilled when her students take what
she has taught them, apply it to their dreams, create new possibilities
for themselves, develop those possibilities and succeed with their
endeavors. Currently a lifelong dance student continues to dance while
working with genetic research in New York and a former student operates
her own local hip-hop studio.
Janet has received many awards from regional and
national dance competitions including Top Studio, Best Choreography,
Best Concept, Most Entertaining, and Most Age Appropriate Studio. In
1996, six members of the DCDS competition team were among the cast of
the FedEx Orange Bowl performance cast. Most recently ten dancers were
featured at a Martina McBride concert.
She is the driving force that inspires the students and faculty at DCDS to excel.
